In many cases, ECM and DMS systems are planned for several configuration levels. However, after completion of level 1, the further development levels are no longer pursued and a great deal of potential is not used. Today, companies are subject to a large number of regulations which all are designed to make risks transparent and internal processes comprehensible. For quite some time, in Germany the principles of properly-supported data processing accounting systems (GoBS) require a process documentation. The requirements resulting from GoBS or similar regulations are largely identical. Only few companies, however, keep current and past (older versions) process documentation as it cannot be handled by using traditional methods at reasonable costs. By developing an innovative method, our product “Compliance” uses the possibilities of modern document management systems and provides thus an efficient and up-to-date process documentation.
